A few people have asked about how we are going to keep the weather out of the bottom half of our new Padel building? Well, today we started fixing our super 'Galebreakers' to the building. These amazing bits of kit keep pretty much all the weather out, while still giving the courts light and air, without that school gym feeling! They also give a nice contrast to make seeing the balls easier too! Padel Q&A: What's in the bag? Unlike tennis, padel uses solid-faced padels for more control and power. These paddles are typically made of lightweight carbon fibre or fiberglass for optimal manoeuvrability. The surface is perforated with small holes for better feel and reduced weight compared to a solid padel. UP UP UP. The building is absolutely flying up this week! The steel work is now complete for the mezzanine floor between the two court spaces. A big milestone completed today..... CONCRETE FLOOR ✅ Now a little time to allow it to set and we can start work on building the courts and the studio space ⏱️ That doesn't stop work on the outside of the building continuing - the beautiful larch cladding is going up and the boring stuff like drains, gutters and walls are continuing to be built too. Memberships for the coming season will run from April 1st 2024 for 12 months and we are keeping it simple: - Adult Membership (age 17+) - Junior Member (age 7-16) There is also a corporate membership option and a joint membership concession for 2 adults in the same household.
